Case Summary
DIGITPOL successfully tracked and located a stolen Mercedes-Benz Sprinter using its SMVIU vehicle intelligence platform.
Following the identification and tracking of the stolen vehicle, intelligence was coordinated with law enforcement, enabling Limburg Police to intervene and successfully seize the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

SMVIU Vehicle Intelligence Platform
The vehicle was tracked using DIGITPOL's SMVIU platform, a vehicle intelligence and API toolset developed to connect with supported OEM vehicle telematics data for authorised stolen vehicle investigations.
SMVIU assists investigation and law enforcement teams with the identification, tracking and recovery of stolen vehicles. The platform has been operationally deployed since 2023 and is used daily in vehicle crime investigations.
Stichting VbV Verzekeringsbureau Voertuigcriminaliteit, which acts on behalf of Dutch insurers in the field of vehicle crime, also utilises the DIGITPOL toolset to support the tracking and recovery of stolen vehicles in the Netherlands.
