International Vehicle Intelligence & Recovery
Cross-border vehicle investigations depend on the rapid exchange of accurate and actionable intelligence between investigators and law enforcement authorities.
DIGITPOL's Vehicle Crime Division specialises in tracing, locating, recovering and repatriating stolen, embezzled and fraudulently obtained vehicles worldwide. Our investigators combine vehicle intelligence, tracking technologies and forensic VIN analysis to identify wanted vehicles, including cases involving attempts to alter, clone or conceal a vehicle's identity.
When a vehicle is located abroad, DIGITPOL coordinates available intelligence with the relevant authorities and partners to support interception, identification and legal recovery.
International Vehicle Repatriation
Recovering a stolen vehicle abroad does not end when the vehicle is located and seized. Depending on the jurisdiction, the process can involve police examination, ownership verification, legal release procedures, documentation and secure international transportation.
Following the release of the BMW by the Latvian authorities, DIGITPOL managed the physical repatriation of the vehicle and transported it from Latvia back to Germany.
This capability allows DIGITPOL to support the complete recovery process, from initial intelligence and tracing through to police interception, legal release, cross-border transport and final return to the owner.
