ANPR Patrols For Detection of Stolen Vehicles, and Missing Rental and Lease Vehicles in The Netherlands
Digitpol operates a dedicated ANPR Patrol Service throughout the Netherlands to detect stolen vehicles, wanted vehicles, embezzled vehicles, and vehicles associated with insurance fraud investigations. Our covert ANPR patrol vehicles are equipped with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology that continuously scans vehicle registration plates while operating on public roads, within industrial estates, ports, logistics centres, border regions, and other strategic locations.
Each registration plate is automatically checked against authorised stolen vehicle and intelligence databases, with a response typically returned within 400 milliseconds. The service operates on a strict HIT / No HIT principle. If a scanned registration plate does not produce a confirmed match, the scan is immediately deleted and no record is retained.
When a vehicle generates a confirmed HIT, the alert is verified by Digitpol's ANPR Command Centre through internal intelligence checks and, where required, confirmation with the relevant police authority or vehicle owner. Once the vehicle is confirmed as actively wanted or authorised for recovery, Digitpol coordinates the operational response. A licensed recovery operator is dispatched to seize and transport the vehicle in accordance with Dutch legislation and established legal recovery procedures.
Digitpol's ANPR Patrol Service provides daily operational coverage across the Netherlands and forms part of the company's wider vehicle crime investigation and recovery operations, supporting insurers, leasing companies, rental operators, vehicle manufacturers, financial institutions, and law enforcement agencies in locating and recovering stolen and unlawfully retained vehicles.
