Digitpol provides a dedicated ANPR Patrol and Vehicle Recovery Service throughout Amsterdam and the Netherlands for rental companies, leasing companies, fleet operators, finance providers, and vehicle manufacturers. The service is designed to rapidly locate and recover stolen, embezzled, unlawfully retained, and wanted vehicles through intelligence led ANPR patrols conducted by licensed investigators.
Our covert patrol vehicles are equipped with advanced Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology that continuously scans registration plates while operating throughout the Netherlands. Patrols are conducted on motorways, within cities, industrial estates, logistics centres, ports, border regions, and other high-risk locations where missing or unlawfully retained vehicles are likely to be found.
Every scanned registration plate is checked against authorised vehicle intelligence databases, with results typically returned within 400 milliseconds. The service operates on a strict HIT / No HIT principle. If a scanned registration plate does not generate a confirmed match, the scan is immediately deleted and no record is retained. Only confirmed matches are processed and investigated.
When a confirmed HIT is received, Digitpol's operations centre immediately verifies the alert with the relevant data source and confirms that the vehicle remains actively wanted or authorised for recovery. Once verified, our patrol team initiates an immediate response. Where legally authorised, the vehicle is recovered on the spot, secured by our investigators, and transported by a licensed recovery operator to a designated secure location or directly to the client. This rapid intervention significantly reduces the risk of the vehicle being moved, concealed, or exported.
