Depending on the vehicle manufacturer and key technology, forensic analysis may recover the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), transponder identifier, key serial information, the total number of keys programmed to the vehicle, the position of the examined key within the immobiliser system, the last recorded odometer reading, fuel level information, and vehicle status data recorded during the last authenticated vehicle access or ignition event.
